点评：The tour operators certainly delivered on what was promised. Plenty of great up-close encounters with humpback whales. The resort at which the tour group was based (Tongan Beach Resort) was a paradise. Our tour group, which was on the small side with 6 participants, was wonderful – we really lucked out with 6 great people arriving from 3 different countries. We never had problems rotating which snorkelers were getting in the water each day. I also enjoyed that our groups ate all of our meals together every day – we really seemed to bond over our amazing whale snorkeling experience. Our guide Annah did an amazing job, first with the pre-trip logistics and responding to questions, and then with the actual snorkeling activities.
The only complaint that I can mention is that we didn’t have a working bathroom on the boat for the five days we were using it. I didn’t need it (thanks to a couple minutes in the ocean), but it would have been reassuring to have in the event I needed it.
Overall though, this trip was one I will remember fondly for the rest of my life, and I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in snorkeling with the whales of Tonga.
