A great day out at a small zoo.
Promenade Park Petting Zoo的点评
点评：This is a fantastic little zoo that has lots to offer if you spend the time to. With various talks about the wonderful animals that they have here and opportunities for the children to interact with them and of course the grown ups if you want to. They are informative, educational and fun all at the same time. You meet reptiles and some of the zoos fluffy residents.
Visiting anywhere in the winter does come with hazards such as paths being a bit muddy in places but the staff at the front are amazing and the owner is on hand to answer any questions you may have and even provide you with wipes for your feet if you need them. We were prepared as we always are in the wetter months and had our wellies with us.
After speaking with the owner we found out that this is a small family run zoo with little to no additional funding from any other source than its visitors, he explained that like every small zoo this does come with its struggles and literally every penny goes into caring for the animals and even in the wet conditions they make sure that animals are comfortable and have everything they need and to be honest you can see this as you walk round, the animals are happy and look very well cared for especially Doris the 10 month old pig who I fell in love with and so did my little boy.
This is an amazing little place and needs more support from its visitors - I did read reviews before I went but like anything I take things on face value and being a small business owner myself I understand that everything is not always as it seems and your visit like mine is just a snap shot in time.
Be kind to this wonderful zoo and I cannot wait to return again in the summer.
