点评：As a family, we wanted something real a trek that went beyond landscapes and brought us closer to the spirit of the Andes. The Lares Trek with Local Trekkers Peru gave us exactly that: pure nature, authentic culture, and a team that made every moment special.
Our guide Rubén, not just a guide, but a true Andean host. Rubén turned the trek into a cultural experience. He taught us words in Quechua, shared stories about every community we passed through, and helped us interact respectfully with the local families we met on the trail. His patience, calm energy, and genuine passion made everyone in the family feel comfortable even those who walked a bit slower.
Timoteo, our chef, the culinary surprise of the mountains. We never imagined eating so well while trekking. Timoteo prepared warm, flavorful meals every single day, using fresh local ingredients and so much care. His soups after long climbs and his dinners that felt like restaurant dishes became one of the highlights of our journey.
Landscapes that stay with you forever. Every section of Lares offered something different: wide valleys filled with alpacas, turquoise lakes, snow capped peaks appearing like a gift after each turn, and peaceful sunrises you can only experience in the Andes.
One of the most unforgettable moments was meeting a local family who was weaving by hand. Rubén explained the meaning behind their patterns, their colors, and their techniques. It wasn’t a tourist show it was daily life, generously shared with us.
