Donovan Park的点评
点评：Always attractive, Donovan Park is especially beautiful in summer. Its large trees, vast lawns, lovely ponds and picnic grounds, playgrounds for kids and abstract sculptures look more beautiful and even surreal. The trail -- the part of Rock Island Greenway in Peoria -- that runs through the northern part of the park, is full of action: walkers, joggers, runners, bikers and pets -- all are enjoying the warm, sunny days, and pretty flowers in the park seem to be happily blooming forever.
The new thing I found in the park was a modern sculpture 'Sweet Like Lemonade' by artist Taylor Fawcett; the sculpture is also placed in the northern part of the park, in a wide open area it stands out at a distance. When you come closer -- you read the plaque, you see the sculpture close up, and then you might think of your own understanding and interpretation of the stunning artwork.
