Did I hear you say "Order in the Court?"
Yes I said order in the court
It's interesting that the judge is so stiff to look at and made of metal... it reflects their uncompromising nature in that they will follow things to the letter of the law- as they should!!
This sculpture is outside the Visitor Information Centre which is also the old law court for the town, before it was repeatedly flooded and the court appointed staff refused to hold court there.
The sculpture is a little clunky looking ... but it's in the right place! And if you are in the area, it's worth wandering past to have a look at it.
The artist Steve Wolfe was a local blacksmith and farrier. He also has other artwork around the Seymour area... I believe there is a piece of his with no description on Station Street , adjacent to the railway underpass.
