点评:So secret,we thought we,d never find it! But find it we did ,such a beautiful spot. The garden keeps giving, winding through different glades. Abundance of blooms. So natural and uncultured. A joy to walk around. We were there to see Mike, who was going to give an insight into bee keeping, We were suited and booted and after a chat about bees in general , we took a short walk to the hives. ....Mike was so knowledgeable ,and gave an insight into the bee world in such a way that was absorbing yet fun. His facts weren,t monotonous and we learnt so much. Hives were opened and we handled the trays laden with bees. Queen Bee, Drones, and workers, habitat, making honey, brilliant time. Then back, to sit and chat and ask questions. Mike had taken a tray of raw honey for us to try, as so different from even the best bought from a store. I dislike honey intensely, and no, I didn,t magically love it,but yes, it had a different "je ne sais quoi". My husband Bob noticed the difference and went back for more. You could tell that Mike loved keeping bees and cared for their welfare.
We were going to have lunch in the charming, small tea room. But the sandwich toaster was broken and didn,t fancy anything sweet after so much honey chat so can,t give a review on that.
