Lovely but could be better.

点评：There’s no doubt that it’s a gorgeous place to stay and the idea is really lovely but in reality it’s a lot of money for one hour spa time.
The woodland lodge is a lovely place but it wasn’t the cleanest unfortunately. The facilities are great and the layout and added touches are really well thought out. As this is the first lodge with patio doors to the garden we had people walk past whilst we were watching television so many times with one even walking directly passed and looking in the windows for a nosey. Really uncomfortable and meant that we felt more comfortable closing the curtains which blocked out the lovely evening sun and garden view.
When our 1 hour spa time started, a few minutes were wasted by opening the cover on the pool. It would have been nice if this was prepared for us. But the pool was lovely and warm. The sauna didn’t work at all. The hot tub worked for a while and then the screen turned off so we couldn’t adjust any settings or turn it off.
Once we’d had our time we vacated and whilst we were still in our robes in our room we had to let the owner in to reset the tub as that’s where the controls were.
We had a lovely sleep and it was nice to have the kitchen amenities.
The sofa is so comfortable which was a lovely addition.
Whilst watching television in our last half hour before checkout the power was switched off and on again and an alarm test went off.
If these were manually done then it would have been a lot nicer if this was done after we checked out.
All in all not exactly what you’d expect from a private spa stay and having to clock watch your spa time really ruined the experience as you couldn’t relax. If you want to book longer then you can pay extra for this but unfortunately all the slots were booked before we arrived.
If we were to go again I would pay the extra hour for the spa and save on getting the smaller room for better privacy but to be honest we’d probably find a spa hotel for better value.
