点评：We recently stayed for one night with the upgraded package in the woodland lodge. This included a duel spa treatment, afternoon tea, breakfast and 2x 1 hour sessions in the spa. This included use of the pool, sauna and hot tub. There is much to be positive about, the exclusive use of the facilities for your hour slot is lovely and the spa treatment we had was really great. The breakfast was amazing, fresh fruit and traditional English. The staff who served breakfast were really great.
The setting itself is within beautiful grounds, the owners live on site. There is no catering provided for evening meals which seems liked a missed opportunity. Afternoon tea was served and was ok but not amazing. Attention to detail could be better, it wasn’t always clear what to do and when and without a reception, you’re left to your own devices. There is a bell to call the owners but when we used this to report of number of things that were not working (shower, hot tub screen, swimming pool jet) it wasn’t responded to. We had a lovely stay but for the prices charged we expected higher quality. It’s a lovely venue but so nearly a wonderful place.
