点评:A very comprehensive display of mostly vintage and classic cars with a few more modern vehicles of interest. I took my teenage grandson to educate him in some of the complexities, uniqueness and styling features of automotive history. I had allotted 2 hours for the visit which easily became almost 4. Having grown up in the 50s and 60s, many of these vehicles I had owned or touched in my auto experiences.
There are a number of volunteers, Charlie and Richard come to mind, who are willing to field questions or take photos for us. The model building room was a pleasant surprise. In there a gentleman was constructing and repairing a variety of model cars, both metal and plastic in different scales.
The bonus to this museum is that many of the vehicles are open to sit in, thereby giving a feeling of returning to that particular year of production. Each vehicle has a concise description of its existence and/ or restoration.
Perhaps the culmination of the visit was being able to sit with Mr Martin and discuss some particular questions that I had.
This is definitely a Do Not Miss for anyone who seeks to know how America was put on wheels.
