Meanderings with the Alpacas....chillaxing for the world weary

点评：Our visit today (22nd) was my husband's belated birthday present. Katie greeted us on arrival and introduced us to the alpacas...the "labour ward"..two alpacas about to produce, a collection of others in the shed and the three that would be walking. She gave us a brief history of the alpaca breed in their original habitat explaining about diet, their fleece, care etc. After instructions on the do's and dont's of alpaca walking we set out on the walk. The path through the tranquil estate took us down towards the shore. The alpacas walk at their own pace and take in the scenery too (with some furtive nibbling en route! ) its a gentle stroll. The walk is fairly easy with only one, short incline. The grounds are full of mature trees (inc fruit ones) ,and flower bushes providing splashes of colour. We walked from a treed area onto the grassy bank down to the shore and let the alpacas dip their feet into the water. We wended our way through the gardens past the house and small church (and took a quick peek inside) and back to base. There was an.opportunity to feed the alpacas and ask questions from the very knowledgeable Katie. Both the venue and the activity were so calming!! Its an idyllic, far from the madding crowd experience - truly enjoyable and thoroughly recommended. Deserves.the 5 stars.
翻译：今天（22号）的拜访是我丈夫迟到的生日礼物。凯蒂迎接了我们，并向我们介绍了羊驼……“产房”里……两只即将产子的羊驼，棚子里的其他羊驼，以及三只即将散步的羊驼。她向我们简要介绍了羊驼在原始栖息地的历史，解释了它们的饮食、羊毛、护理等等。在讲解了遛羊驼的注意事项后，我们开始了散步。穿过宁静的庄园，我们沿着小路向岸边走去。羊驼们按照自己的节奏行走，也欣赏着周围的风景（途中它们还会偷偷地啃咬！），这是一段轻松的散步。这段路相当轻松，只有一个小坡。院子里种满了成熟的树木（包括果树），还有花丛，为它们增添了一抹亮色。我们从一片树林走到长满草的河岸，一直走到岸边，让羊驼们把脚伸进水里。我们穿过花园，经过房子和小教堂（还快速地瞥了一眼里面），然后回到基地。我们有机会喂羊驼，并向知识渊博的凯蒂提问。场地和活动都让人心旷神怡！这是一种田园诗般的体验，远离喧嚣——真的非常愉快，强烈推荐。值得五星好评。
