Wouldn’t recommend the spa on a weekend

点评：I went for a spa day with a friend, on a Saturday. We went for their most expensive spa day and booked the treatments and lunch when we were advised (1130 treatments, 1330 lunch). The treatments were really good, I can’t fault those at all. Lunch was ok, very few meat options on the menu and the food has gone downhill from the high quality it was last year. However, our real issue came after lunch when we tried to access the spa facilities. The spa garden was broken, which we weren’t told until we arrived, which meant the indoor pool, steam room and sauna were extremely busy. We could not access any of the facilities due to them being full between 1530 and 17:00 (when we gave up and left) except a few lengths in the pool. We even had to share a lounger while we waited. I wouldn’t not describe these facilities as a spa, but rather a glorified leisure centre. There is clearly no limit on numbers for members and spa day guests, and for over £200 I would have expected to be able to use the simple facilities.
