The feast for connoisseurs, but not only
National Museum of Military History的点评
点评:I visit all military museums, in every place I visit privately or on business. That's why, while in Sofia, I headed to this place.
I wasn't disappointed, even if part of the collection was closed to the public (the museum is undergoing renovations).
Most of the exhibits concern post-war history and equipment supplied by Soviet Russia, but there are some truly interesting gems to be found there, such as the French Hotchkiss H-35 or the LT-35 manufactured in Czechoslovakia.
Overall, the outdoor collection is a bit neglected, but this museum has one major advantage compared to similar places I've visited in Western Europe: you can walk up to the exhibits, examine them closely, and even touch them—something not typically found in other places of this type.
I think I can recommend visiting this place to both those passionate about military technology and those who simply want to see something interesting and learn more.
