An Unforgettable, Seamless & Stress-Free Family Trip to Costa Rica with Waking Dreams

点评：Our family of five spent Spring Break in Costa Rica, and working with Waking Dreams made the trip truly exceptional.
Alex took the time to understand our interests and expectations and crafted a thoughtful itinerary, planning all of our excursions and activities. His colleague, Jon M., picked us up at the airport and stayed with us throughout the trip. He was always punctual and went above and beyond—guiding us to the best food spots, miradors (lookout points), beaches, sodas (local eateries), panaderías, and even helping us spot wildlife so we could experience the very best of Costa Rica.
Jon was kind, reliable, funny, and incredibly knowledgeable. He even brought his own binoculars so we could get close-up views of animals wherever we went. Every activity was seamless, and we never had to worry about finding reputable providers since everything had already been vetted by the Waking Dreams team.
Both Alex and Jon were highly responsive and checked in on us regularly. When our daughter got sick halfway through the trip (caught the cold that younger kid was getting over), they quickly helped us adjust our plans to include less strenuous activities, which we really appreciated.
Travel logistics can often be stressful, but Waking Dreams handled everything so we could simply enjoy the experience and focus on making memories.
By the end of the trip, Jon felt more like a friend than a guide. We later found out he’s also a professional photographer/videographer—something I wish we had known earlier! I would have absolutely booked a family photo session, especially with Costa Rica as the backdrop. That said, he still captured some wonderful candid moments that we’ll treasure.
Pro tip: ask for Jon and consider booking a photo session—he knows all the best spots.
