点评：My group reserved through lamp lighters instead of trying for the permit lottery. In retrospect, I would not have done it another way. Xander shared stories to explain the history of Yosemite and Half Dome, ensured we acclimated to the altitude with proper hydration, and captured phenomenal photos and videos during the hike. Thanks to all of this, we had an unforgettable hike that exceeded our expectations!
The overall experience was far more enjoyable and worthwhile with his guidance and humor, not to mention his coaching and encouragement as we ascended the cables. My group was on a tight time frame as we had to return to Southern California the same day, and because of his timeliness we stayed ahead of schedule.
I have already spread the feedback that a guided tour is the way to summit half dome!
