Nkuringo Safaris was absolutely great!

点评：I am just completing a 9 day Uganda tour with Nkuringo Safaris. It was amazing. I visited the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, did a game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, as well as a boat "game drive" in the Kazinga Channel, and then on to Kibale Forest National Park...which is known as "The Chimpanzee Forest"
My driver the entire time was Patrick (Poppa) Waduwa. He was a great guide, driver and became a friend.
The parks were great. The hike to see the gorillas was extremely challenging. Steep down and steep back up. The jungle itself really is quite impenetrable with guide hacking with machetes to clear a path to where the gorillas were. Once we came upon them, it was magical. (I've talked to others who have said their hike was easy and they were with the gorillas within a half hour...so not the case for myself. I can only wish!)
Queen Elizabeth was beautiful; "Savannah's", but relatively sparse numbers of game, compared to other countries in which I have done safari game drives, but the boat trip in the Kazinga channel was really great, with tons of game!
Finally the chimps were amazing...a much easier hike that the gorillas. listening to the groups call between themselves in the jungle was like the soundtrack to every Tarzan movie I watched as a kid. We came across a family of three is a very young chimp. The two adults spent the. whole time grooming each other, while the young on frolicked around.
I highly recommend Nkuringo Safaris. Always on time, very accommodating to my needs.
