点评:We happened upon this museum whilst wandering around Maderno on a Sunday. It was a fascinating and moving experience.
The museum is run entirely by volunteers and covers the story of the men who lived and fought in the mountains of the Alto Garda in the White War, a little known and brutal campaign in WW1, using objects recovered from the region.
We were shown around the extensive display of artefacts and photographs by a really knowledgeable and enthusiastic volunteer who was happy to answer all our questions and let us handle many of the exhibits - he even opened some of the cabinets and handed us some pieces of trench art so we could see the fine detail on them.
We spent over an hour there and could have spent much longer. It was one of the top finds on our holiday and we would wholeheartedly recommend a visit.
Note - as it is run by volunteers the opening times are variable and may not always be as listed.
