We returned just 3 days ago from our Sri Lanka trip, and even now, our hearts are full of gratitude. This review is not just another travel review—it truly comes from the heart.
From day one to the final seventh day, our guide Mr. Shirantha Fernando took care of us with such warmth, patience, and thoughtfulness that it felt less like a service and more like being looked after by a family member. Every smallest detail was taken care of—things we didn’t even think of were already anticipated.
He was kind, cooperative, and incredibly knowledgeable, showing us not just the popular places but also the nooks and corners that made Sri Lanka feel so special and authentic. Each day was thoughtfully planned, well-paced, and perfectly suited for us as a family of four traveling with children in a van.
What touched us deeply was how mindful he was about our kids—
• planning travel times carefully
• considering the heat
• choosing child-friendly experiences
• ensuring comfort, joy, and little moments of excitement for them
As parents, this meant everything to us.
One of the most memorable highlights was how thoughtfully he celebrated my birthday on 24th Jan. He made sure my day was special in every sense and even surprised me with a small cake—a gesture so sweet and personal that it truly moved me. These are the moments that stay with you long after the trip ends.
The welcome at midnight itself was a big bang, a complete surprise that instantly made us feel excited, valued, and cared for.
To travel with someone for seven consecutive days and feel consistently supported, respected, and cared for is rare. His dedication, sincerity, and service went far beyond expectations.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you Shirantha for curating such a beautiful, meaningful, and memorable journey for us. This trip will always hold a very special place in our family memories, and we are deeply grateful.
