Great wine, even nicer staff

点评：Beautiful experience - the tasting room sits high over a valley with views of the rolling vineyards in front. Stunning. We visited in winter, and there was a cheerful and cosy fire cracking away although I preferred to sit by the windows to enjoy the views.
I opted for the flight of five wines while the rest of the family visited the nearby chilli oil shop. The director’s special red was excellent - reminiscent of a left bank Bordeaux like St Estephe. The Cabernet Sauvignon was delicious as well. The Syrah was uninspiring. Amongst the whites, the Sauvignon Blanc stands out with a distinct gooseberry taste and a tongue tingling freshness.
So excellent was the tasting experience that I completely forgot my purse with our apartment keys and a bunch of other stuff hanging on my chair. My gratitude to the staff and esp. Rob, the manager who patiently answered my multiple emails and calls over the next twelve hours before safely handing it back to me.
