Exceptional golf course let down by the hospitality experience (or lack of).

点评：The Old Course lives up to the hype, this is a truly outstanding golf course. We had a fantastic caddy, and the round itself was a memorable challenge. Golf - 11/10 !
However, were very disappointed that we were unable to be served any drinks or food in the clubhouse restaurant when we completed our round. We were told we would have to wait at least 15 minutes for even an order to be taken as there was a large group in. It was very clear that there would be a significant wait even after our order was taken, as there were loads of people waiting and the staff in the restaurant not rushed off their feet As we had a long drive back we had to leave without any refreshments. I feel that as set up of the standard of Ballybunion should be able to plan ahead and cater for all its golfers.
Unfortunately, this did detract from our overall experience as we were very much looking forward to enjoying the hospitality in the clubhouse as part of our visit to this special place.
