点评:Death Valley is aptly named. Make sure your vehicle is in good working order before going through here. It's almost always hot, dry, and unforgiving. But, if your vehicle is in good shape, no need to worry.
They warn you for good reason not to hike in the heat of the day. There is no shade, and plan on days where the temperature exceeds 100 degrees Fahrenheit. That may set records elsewhere in the country, but here it is the *norm.* Carry extra water with you if you do hike, and it wouldn't hurt to have extra in your vehicle. Don't forget sun block and a shade hat.
Now the good part. It's still an interesting place, albeit mostly devoid of plant life, except where there is water. The rocks, hills, and small towns are interesting. This is the only national park I have been to, (and I've been to about 30 of them), that has covered parking.
The visitors center in Furnace Creek is a nice place to visit. Restrooms, info, knowledgeable rangers, air conditioning, and a thermometer outside so you can see how hot it is and take tourist pics with it for bragging rights.
I just drove through, but there are campgrounds, motel, and resort accommodations in case you want to do some exploring. It is a vast area. I could see this being more enjoyable in winter.
