Devon Car Parks are TOO EXPENSIVE

点评：The beach is absolutely glorious… BUT the car park has to be the most expensive we’ve ever had the misfortune to visit! 😳
£8.50 for 4 hours PLUS TAX!!!!!
Luckily, we only visited once — at those extortionate prices, we certainly wouldn’t be returning. It really does feel like daylight robbery! And yet tourists keep visiting and paying, while the owners keep rubbing their hands!
South Hams car parks — and the local tourist industry — take note: your parking charges are way more expensive than Cornwall.
UK holidays are expensive enough as it is, especially when you compare them with Europe, where free parking is often available and food, drink & accommodation cheaper. Adding ridiculous car parking charges on top just makes the cost of a day out even harder to swallow. For us, it’s back to Cornwall or France.
