A Fascinating Dive into Portugal’s Maritime History – A Must-Visit!

点评：We spent hours at the Museu de Marinha, and it was such a great experience! My husband is a naval engineer, so he was especially excited to explore the rich history of Portuguese seafaring—and the museum did not disappoint. From ancient navigation techniques to beautifully preserved model ships and artifacts, it offers a truly impressive look at Portugal’s maritime legacy.
As someone without a technical background, I still found everything incredibly interesting and accessible. The museum is well laid out, and the audio tour was informative, easy to follow, and added a lot of helpful context throughout the exhibits.
There’s so much to see here that we easily spent a few hours exploring—and could have stayed longer. If you’re in Lisbon and even remotely curious about naval history, exploration, or Portugal’s role in global maritime discovery, this is absolutely worth a visit!
