点评:This museum is excellently presented at the old railway station in Jinja- no longer a passenger station, but a good place to view the freight shunting operations- and is generally a great way to understand how and why the railways came to Uganda and shaped the country and how they declined and are now coming to life again. There are objects such as an original steel sleeper, easy to lay and termite proof, and a Tyer token machine, to ensure trains never met each other on the same track. Best of all is the station itself, with ticket windows and telegram office, and scales for weighing baggage- and a reminder of the class and race basis of the British Empire, with a wall dividing Europeans and Africans. There are an original sleeper carriage and a Henschel shunter that you can walk around as well.
Our guide, also the manager, was so clear and so informative- thank you!

我们的导游也是经理,讲解非常清晰,信息量很大——谢谢!
