Great little zoo - would be better to visit at quieter times

点评：A lovely little zoo but we made the mistake of visiting on a Bank Holiday weekend (should have known better) when a lot of interesting people were visiting.
Despite ‘no smoking/vaping’ signs, we saw plenty of people just walking round doing what they fancied; children were running amok; parents disinterested or shouting at the top of their lungs; changing nappies at face height (my face height!) - I’ve never experienced anything quite like it!
Aside from the other visitors we had a good couple of hours, although had to skip a couple of bits to avoid women sounding like screaming banshees!
The big draw to this zoo absolutely has to be their wonderful snow leopards!! They also have lots of smaller animals such as prairie dogs, skinks, dart frogs, insects, tree monitors, grey mouse lemurs, sugar gliders, meerkats, arctic foxes, owls and raptors, serval, otters, tapir, capybara, birds & parrots, raccoons, small primates, armadillos, porcupines and farm animals.
Aside from the snow leopards, my favourites were the naked mole rats! A hugely underrated little animal! Odd to look at but absolutely fascinating! And stop by to see if you can spot the white-clawed crayfish! Super important for our waterways!
All toilets were clean, staff were friendly, and they have a nice little shop (you walk through it when you arrive). Parking is good although not many disabled bays. From what we could work out.
Oh and they have a penny press, if you like those as souvenirs. Just don’t turn the wheel until it says to because if you’re too quick, it will miss half the ‘press’!

这个动物园最大的吸引力绝对是他们美丽的雪豹！这里还有很多小动物，比如草原犬鼠、石龙子、箭毒蛙、昆虫、树巨蜥、灰鼠狐猴、蜜袋鼯、狐獴、北极狐、猫头鹰和猛禽、薮猫、水獭、貘、水豚、鸟类和鹦鹉、浣熊、小型灵长类动物、犰狳、豪猪和农场动物。
除了雪豹，我最喜欢的是裸鼹鼠！这是一种被严重低估的小动物！看起来很奇怪，但绝对令人着迷！顺便看看你能不能找到白爪龙虾！这对我们的水道非常重要！
所有厕所都很干净，工作人员很友好，他们还有一家漂亮的小商店（你到达后可以穿过它）。停车场很好，虽然残疾人停车位不多。据我们了解。
哦，他们还有个一分钱压榨机，如果你想买点纪念品的话。不过，在它提示你转动之前，千万别转动轮子，因为如果你转得太快，就会错过一半的“压榨”！
