Nice and pleasant.

点评：It is very pretty, and like many places a long street with some side alleys. Very little litter.
A Waitrose hidden away. Helpfully a Nationwide building society, WH Smith.
There are lots of cake and coffee shops. You won't be going hungry in the day.
And many charity shops.
It is busy and bustling. A couple of art shops and shops selling small what I would call fripperies. A very welcome Waterstones.
Some hotels, pubs and restaurants. A Waitrose hidden tucked away down a side alley.
There is also the little lovely steam railway you can access via the Town Centre. Well worth going to.
There is parking along the sides but I think you can stay only for an hour. And there is a vigilant traffic warden. The traffic is fairly busy and can move quickly with cars pulling out fast so be alert. A few dogs, but usually of the small to medium variety.
In the evening it is a lot quieter with some restaurants to choose from and some outside drinking spots.
