Beautiful boat in stunning scenery around the west coast of Scotland.

点评：Having planned to enter the Scottish Islands Peaks Race some months earlier, my fifth, the one missing piece was a boat. Enter Jock Hamilton with Yemaya and what a find! She's a thing of extraordinary beauty, built in the 1980's and mahogany throughout. So wide and comfortable, as runners we were in luxury, and had the pleasure of sailing her a bit too. She served us well on the water, making up with her speed for our sluggish mountaineering to catch both tidal gates at Luing and Kintyre.
Jock knew her and the seas so well we were always in good hands and excellent humour. Not least because of the meals Jock had prepared for us to feast on after our island legs: venison pie, haggis wi' champit neeps an' tatties, and at the finish a huge lasagne for 12 between the 5 of us.
What more can I say? My best ever SIPR and the Old Dogs award for oldest crew to finish the race.
