An outstanding and high standard setting wine tour and tasting

点评：I have attended several wine tours and tastings in Europe, but the Cantina Masseria Torricella programme is truly outstanding - and in my opinion standard setting.
I organised the IRIDE Tour and Tasting for our group of 10. This is a 3hr programme which starts with a preliminary introduction and a tour of the vineyards and cellars. This part of the schedule is fairly standard and takes about 45 mins. What follows, however, was not expected.
I have been to wine tours where the wines tasted are accompanied by local nibbles. These are perfect. The wines are sampled in the local environment and atmosphere.
What was somewhat unexpected about the IRIDE tour was that the 6 flights of wine tasted were EACH accompanied by their own separate food accompaniments - YES 6 different wines accompanied by 6 different sides of delicious local produce. These side dishes were also reasonably generous comprising of local cantina produce (cured meats, cheeses, honey, olive oil and nibbles).
If you take the 1pm tour I would suggest foregoing lunch as you will not leave hungry. Indeed, having a meal prior to your tour could spoil your experience.
