A museum not to be missed while in Kuching
Borneo Cultures Museum的点评
点评：This has to be one of the best if not the best museum in Malaysia. Its building is beautiful and though there are 5 floors, it easy to navigate as there are escaltors and lifts. The exhibits are nicely placed and very detailed and balance on the history and cultural of Borneo and Sarawak. There are also English description on all the displays.
You probably would take about 3 hours to go thru all the gallaries.
The museum is situated a 10 to 15 mins walk from the waterfront area. As we were staying at the Waterfront hotel, it was a relaxing walk in the morning to get there.
It is preferable to walk along the main road and turn right up to the carpark to get to the main entrance. If you turn left before that, you have to climb a lot of steps up the hill and then walk around the building to get to the main entrance.
There are toilets on every floor and a small cafe/restaurant and souvenir shop on the ground floor near the entrance.
After you are done, you may go across the opposite side using the overhead bridge to get to the old museum building and a park.
