Great hike, disappointing company

Mount Rinjani and the hike are a wonderful, stunning experience and I would absolutely recommend doing the hike.
Unfortunately I would pick a different company next time, because all aspects the company had under control were disappointing.
The equipment you can rent is not at all fit for the purpose, the jacket was not my size and didn't protect against the extreme cold. The gloves were too thin so you can't feel your fingers at some point.
The transportation logistics to and from the hike didn't work well, first waiting for one hour, then problems with the car due to lack of maintenance. I had to switch to a taxi instead. That's inconvenient if you come back from a three day hike.
While I understand that cooking is difficult on a trek like this, the food was extremely limited and cheap in variety and ingredients.
The homestay only has a cold shower and not even a mirror in the bathroom.
Given the low salaries guides and porters are paid, the trip with this company has very little value for money.
I would do the hike again but pick a different company that provides higher quality equipment, transportation, and food.
