点评：We started out from Orebić heading south toward Dubrovnik with a winery stop in mind. Our first choice was a letdown — the staff wasn’t welcoming, insisted we buy glasses without even tasting, and told us we weren’t on their schedule.
Not wanting to waste the day, I checked ChatGPT for recommendations and it pointed us to Madirazza Winery (5.0 rated) — and what an amazing choice that turned out to be!
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Anna, who couldn’t have been more friendly and knowledgeable. We told her about our earlier experience, and she immediately reassured us. She asked what kinds of wines we enjoy, then brought out six bottles and walked us through each one in detail — how the grapes are grown on the mountainside vineyards, the history of the winery, and even gave us directions to a tunnel where we could see the land ourselves.
The tasting was excellent, and we discovered two standouts:
• Herakles Grk Sue Lie Suho Bijelo Vino 2022 – a smooth white, low in acidity, full of flavor.
• Madirazza Plavac Crno Vino Selection 2015 – a rich, balanced red.
Both were so good we bought bottles to take with us. Anna truly made the experience special — her passion and knowledge turned what could have been a disappointing day into a 5-star highlight of our trip.
