点评：This was an exceptionally enjoyable visit. Despite being late in arriving due to unforeseen circumstances, we were made most welcome and given a bit of history and background, plus invited to tag on to the next group for the full 'package' which we duly did. The information is well planned and a signalman's working routine is explained both verbally and with practical demonstrations. In addition, the hosts have absolutely no problem in being side-tracked by questions not only concerning signal box routine but also about other aspects of the railway, so you come away having learned so much more than you thought you were going to.
For car parking, best to try Caythorpe Road which has a number of lay-by type parking spaces and from there it's a 2 minute walk over the level crossing to the signal box. Alternatively of course, arrive by train!
Well worth visiting and highly recommended.
