I associated fruit wine with the cheap stuff I tried as a teenager until I was first introduced to the wines of McIntyre winery.
THIS WINE TASTES LIKE REAL FRUIT!
Fresh, ripe, local fruit, handled with skill and care. We're not talking about fruit flavored syrup. There are varying levels of sweetness, from dry to semi, to sweet. The sweet is well suited for dessert, use in a spritz, or a sangria addition. The dry and semi are perfect on their own, and TASTE LIKE REAL FRUIT. 😊
A tasting includes 6 samples of an extensive list of wines for about $8. A variety of local cheeses are available at a modest price. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful.
We had a great time and left with 15-20 bottles of fruit wine. Seriously, it was enlightening. These people know what they're doing and it's an experience I doubt you can find anywhere else.
