Unforgettable Family Getaway on the Hawkesbury River

点评：We recently hired a houseboat from Hawkesbury Afloat for a family trip, and it was truly one of the best holidays we’ve ever had! From start to finish, the experience was seamless, relaxing, and full of fun – especially for the kids.
The team at Hawkesbury Afloat were incredibly helpful and professional. They gave us a thorough but easy to understand briefing and made sure we felt completely confident navigating the river, even as first-timers. The houseboat itself was spotless, spacious, and well equipped with everything we needed – including a fully functional kitchen, comfy beds, and a great outdoor deck for soaking up the views.
The kids had an absolute blast! They loved swimming, fishing, and exploring the calm bays and beaches along the river. It was the perfect balance of adventure and downtime – we even spotted a seal and plenty of birdlife, which made it feel like a true escape into nature.
What made this trip so special was how peaceful and private it felt. Waking up to the sunrise over the water, eating meals with uninterrupted river views, and stargazing at night created memories we’ll cherish forever.
I can’t recommend Hawkesbury Afloat enough. We’ll definitely be back for another houseboat holiday soon!
