RSPB Burton Mere Wetlands的点评
点评：We were in the area so decided to spend a morning here. It’s on our list for future trips to the area. Good paths/boardwalk to all hides. A good cafe and toilets.
Not the best time of year for seeing birds so we saw lots of Canada Geese but did see a Great White Egret. Rarely seen so many hirundines and never had house martins fly so close.
The best reserve for accessibility we’ve seen.
Still some way to go but the newer boardwalk is wider so two wheelchairs can pass. The picnic benches allowed for wheelchairs, one design we’ve not seen before.
Become an RSPB member and you get free entry. A family of four would need to go just four times and annual membership would pay for itself. RSPB tailor the pack according to your children’s age. Children not ready to sit in a hide there is a wild playground and ice cream in the cafe afterwards.
