A unique experience- beautiful scenery and a chance to spot wild orangutan

点评：I have to say I was a bit deterred by the reviews here and didn’t think it would be anything special. I’m glad I went anyway because I would’ve missed out on a very unique and special experience! Our guide and driver Abdul Qayyum made this a very enjoyable and comfortable experience. Without him I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed it as much (WhatsApp +60 11-1669 5114). He even spotted multiple wild orangutans for us!
The rainforest surrounding the cave is beautiful so it was a nice walk to get to the cave. We were lucky enough to see an orangutan around the entrance! The cave itself is quite beautiful and you will enjoy it if you are a bit adventurous, the photos don’t grasp the full beauty of the cave. We went well prepared with enclosed shoes, socks tucked into pants and wore rain coats and used an umbrella in the cave to avoid and any poo incidents- but our umbrellas were actually clean at the end. I would recommend brining a torch if you’d like to see things a bit better. You do have to be brave to bear the moving path critters if you go deep inside the cave, but even if you just got in the first 20meters of the cave you can see plenty.
Aside from going into the cave, there is a viewpoint at the top of the cave which is up a lot of steep steps through some rainforest. I would say you need a moderate level of fitness to get up these steep stairs. The lookout was nice view of the rainforest and you could see down into the cave from above. We were lucky to see an orangutan from up there aswell!
We went on a rainy day and there was no one else there so this was an experience that was totally off the typical tourist track (not sure if it’s busier on sunny days). The rain made it even more beautiful.
Our guide drove us here, walked with us the whole way giving us information about the place and supplied us with umbrellas to keep us comfortable (I found him through trip advisor with many others recommending him). I would recommend hiring Abdul- I will certainly use his services again next time I am back to visit beautiful Malaysia Borneo!

我们去的时候是下雨天，那里没有其他人，所以这是一次完全偏离典型旅游路线的体验（不确定晴天是否更忙）。雨水让它变得更加美丽。
