Claustrophobic Ordering. Great Beer. Expensive, Mediocre Food. Texting Issues.

点评：Elm Creek Brewing is a fabulous concept, and mostly a positive experience, but some things need reworking. Upon entering the establishment I was greeted with a bottlenecked crowd of people standing in the foyer. (It should be noted that the place wasn't all that busy.) I was told by someone in that crowd, who I presumed worked there, that one line was for beer, and the other for food. Okay! All good. So we bought our beers, then sat down on the patio. The beer was outstanding. We decided it was time for food, so I made my way through the crowd and got into an extremely slow food aisle. I waited about 20 minutes to place my order. The menu was limited and expensive, but served what appeared to be basic bar fare. I ordered a couple of Nashville chicken sandwiches and an order of fried cauliflower topped with honey mustard. The computer said that I would be texted when my order was ready and that I was to go to the counter to pick it up. Here's the problem: I was never texted that my food was ready. I waited about a half hour. I elbowed my way through the bottleneck of humanity, reached the counter only to find that my order and it had been left sitting out in the open! I picked up my lukewarm lukewarm sandwiches and soggy, fried cauliflower, and once again had to fight through the bottle neck of humanity in order to return to my table. Aside from being lukewarm, my sandwich was unremarkable and even a bit tough. The cauliflower was soggy because it was swimming in a mustard sauce. If I had a do-over, I wish we would have gone out to dinner first, then met our friends for only beverages. PS My food text finally arrived when I got home.
