雷克雅未克移民展览的点评
点评：We arrived in Reykjavik on the night of the culture festival so parking spaces very hard to find and streets were crammed with people. We stayed at CityHub and really enjoyed the very basic, but comfortable, rooms. The communal bathrooms were very clean and the downstairs hang out area was really enjoyable. I would certainly stay there again. CityHub was also right in the heart of Reykjavik. Both the Lava Show, on one side of us, and the Perlan, to the other side, were about a half an hour walk. We never once drove our car after parking in a P3 zone. Speaking of parking, get the Parka app and pay for parking that way -- very easy. If you can walk, do so. You will get around quickly and see many things you might miss if you are in a car.
Downtown Reykjavik offers so many restaurants, bakeries, bars, museums, and gift shops. I highly recommend the Food Tour on your first day in town. It is well worth the money. The free walking tour is also a great way to start your stay in the city. No matter where we ate, the food was always good. Explore, you will not be disappointed. Of note, Cafe Loki has this amazing rye bread ice cream -- a highlight for us. Braud and Co. was an amazing bakery for a morning croissant.
Hallgrimskirkja (the large church) is hard to miss and well worth a visit. You will likely find yourself on Laugavegur or Skolavordustigur (rainbow) streets and will be in the middle of the tourist traffic. The church will be hard to miss and is an easy walk.
If I were to plan my trip to Iceland again, I would start with Reykjavik for a few days, do the tours, learn a bit about the country, and then travel out (we did the ring road).
