点评:Insightful Visit to the Tsunami Museum – Worth a Stop
We visited the Tsunami Museum as part of a private tour with a guide. The visit began with a touching video showing a reunion between a foreign survivor and their rescuer. Afterwards, we were guided through the small museum, which contains various remnants from the tsunami as well as educational displays.
One of the most impressive sights was the two boats placed next to a wall built to the same height as the tsunami waves — a powerful visual representation. From the observation tower, you also get a beautiful view of the sea.
There’s a nice souvenir shop where you can buy something to support the museum, as there is no entrance fee. While I wouldn’t recommend making a long detour just for this, it’s definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
