点评:A relatively nice first visit. For adults, the bottom floor is like a mini-Smithsonian collection of wild animals: Just viewing the variety of owls is worth the price of admission. For my five-year old, there was enough here to keep her occupied for about an hour, and that was helped by indulging in some great hands-on exhibits where she could color, see panels light up in different colors under a microscope, etc. The receptionist was also very welcoming, friendly, and most resourceful in providing an overview of what we could see on all three floors--including a chance to see staff bring out some live animals, and maybe even pet/touch some of them. And, she emphasized that point a few times. Where I give the place zero stars resides with the volunteer college staff who were managing the animals: First, the one young lady couldn't even tell us where the restrooms were, and told us to go ask the woman up front; then, after I inquired if there was a good time when we could perhaps see some animals come out, the same Co-ed gave me sort of a cheeky response that she and her two partners were only going to be feeding the animals and that a viewing was most likely out of the question. Her attitude and tone really carried a "don't bother me" vibe. Seriously, you couldn't just take five minutes from your duties to bring out a Chinchilla for my daughter to admire? So, what exactly am I getting for my $22?
Outside of that, we enjoyed the visit.
