点评：Our 7-day safari in Kenya with Explorer Kenya was truly the trip of a lifetime, and that is largely thanks to our guide, Sammy Nguta.
Sammy is humble, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, with more than 20 years of guiding experience. What especially sets him apart is his understanding of photographers and his exceptional ability to anticipate animal behavior and position the vehicle for the perfect shot. On our very first morning in the Masai Mara, he positioned our vehicle perfectly and anticipated a leopard's movements so well that it walked right past us, just a few meters away. It was an incredible encounter, and we captured amazing photos and videos. In Amboseli, he did it again. Sammy anticipated that two giraffes were moving toward Mount Kilimanjaro and positioned us perfectly for breathtaking photos with Kili in the background. We also saw all other animals we had hoped for, including white and black rhinos, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, and so much more. His ability to read wildlife and anticipate those special photographic moments is truly exceptional.
What impressed us most, however, was Sammy's integrity. He always put the animals, the park, and our safety first. He never drove off-road, chased animals, or competed aggressively with other vehicles just to get a better view. He taught us that seeing wildlife is a privilege and that it should always be done with respect. Some guides may give in to customer pressure, but Sammy never compromises his principles. That is something we deeply respect.
