A truly wonderful, once in a lifetime experience!
Dogs 4 Wildlife的点评
点评：We were greeted by the team with the statement... we arrive as guests but leave as family and those words could never be truer. This experience has helped us forge incredible friendships and create some of the most wonderful memories we have ever experienced in our lifetime.
From the outset we felt welcome, secure and protected by Junior, Elaine, Allie and the team. Everyone was just so incredible and hospitable on the reserve, everyone wanted to talk to us, share jokes and were so happy, the entire team at Bonamanzi are amazing!
We could not believe the value presented by this experience, arranged by the Dogs 4 Wildlife, Project Rhino & IFPCP teams. This wasnt anything like any normal safari - this was an experience which took us out into the bush to help detect snares, work with the rangers and their dogs on tracking which took us away from the beaten path to explore parts of the land that normal holiday goers would never see. You will learn about the anti poaching team and the reserve and more about the endangered animals to understand the issues they run into every day trying to protect these amazing and beautiful animals.
The guidance and knowledge on the animals, wildlife, insects, flora and fauna and everything was second to none, every question answered with stories to match that left us amazed every single day. New itineraries and plans were discussed with us to suit the needs of the group the day before so we were always prepared for what was to come. Magical experiences were added to visit the local schools, visit a real zulu tribe, a boat trip to see the hippos, and crocs and a full day safari trip meant that this experience provided absolutely everything you could want to do in your time in KZN and so much more.
The accommodation options are incredible too, we all opted for a self contained villa with the whole group which had en suite toilets and showers, wifi, cleaner and a bbq and firepit so we could have some really fun communal evenings or a quiet rest if we were too tired... believe me though, the excitement levels are so high every day for what will happen next, the evening were filled with hours of fun and laughter.
And if you dont want to cook, you can make a short trip to lalapanzi, the on site restaurant for some delicious food and drinks that will go no where near breaking the bank... this country is amazing, KZN is beautiful and this experience is the gift that keeps giving - life is too short, you need to book a space on this, you will not regret it :)
Top tips for future travellers - if you go in the UK summer time its SA winter time, which is hotter than UK most days, however, the wind chill and the temperature drop in the evenings is very very cold so pack some jumpers and clothes to keep warm, it seems weird now but youll thank me later :)
another tip would be to just say yes and let the team take you on the full experience - throw yourself in and you will gain more than you could ever dream of!
