Olden Glacier and Loen Skylift in one day

点评：We were on a cruise and stopped in Olden for around 7 hours. We decided to go to the glacier and walk up there. The coach took 30 minutes but there was recorded commentary there explaining what we saw and the views were stunning! The lake, the mountains and waterfalls! The walk to the glacier wasn't too bad if you have OK mobility, and again the views were beautiful, including a big waterfall! The lake where the glacier thaws into is also lovely to see.
The whole trip took around 3.5 hours and as soon as we got back we bought tickets to go up in the Loen Skylift. That was expensive, but you get 10% discount with Olden Adventures if you buy more than one excursion with them. It still was around £68 per person. A coach takes you there, it is only 10 minutes from where the ship is docked, and there was no queues at this time. The cable car takes 5 minutes or so. There are a couple of small benches you can sit on, but most people have to stand. The view is absolutely stunning and it was well worth the money to see this! There are various walks you can go on up there but we were tired by now so we didn't do that. We spent around an hour up there (it was cold, with snow on the ground, so wrap up). The coach (now a Hop on Hop off bus) was there when we got down to take us back to the ship in good time. Great experiences!
