点评：Que bonita casa! I was looking for a place to rest while I hope to have stumbled across weaving workshops in Teotitlan. Turns out the hotel I booked online was both and more. I was in stressful mental headspace. Holding onto my work and home, it’s as if I forgot how to be present. Luckily this home has exceptional wifi allowing me to ground in my stress to accomplish work. Not only exceptional wifi but a softening room that was so large and cozy! The perfect place to work remotely. With just a few steps out of my room was everything else. The vibrant colors and sharing culture of Zapotec I’ve felt the emergence to be present , to be alive and creative. They accomadated my 3 days stay with a 3 day workshop, one that would usually take 5 days they were creative and shaped one that fit my needs. I spun wool into yarn, dyed yarn into natural colors cultivated in that ecosystem. I weaved seeds into my tapestry. I drank mezcal fruited by this warm and welcoming family. I felt expansive and free. Free from stress and the stuckness I found normalcy in. I left with more than a tapestry, I left with a will to share light and creativity the way this family did to my wounded spirit.
