A highlight of our 5 weeks in Greece

点评：We booked an olive tasting tour not knowing what to expect.
We thought it would be about an hour and a half...
4 and a half hours later we left raving about what an incredible experience it was.
It started with one of the owners daughters walking us thru the building explaining how this came to be. From her grandparents to her Father building the business and expanding it.
She gave us a tour of the fruit packaging plant and then up to the oil processing plant. Explaining how the process and the business worked.
Then took us thru the old farm house on the property. and out to their vineyard.
The grapes were already harvested but it was spectacular. She explained about the harvest and how they prune the vines after. She then took us to their Olive orchard and explained about the different types and how they are harvested.
After that we went back down to the lounge/deck area. While we were looking at the menu trying to decide what to try her father came up and was talking to her.
He was asking if we would be interested in seeing the olive harvest!!
Of course we said yes!! Piled into the van and off we went to the orchard.
We got to see the harvesting technique using the electric rakes and even got to try it!!
After that we went for a walk thru a small pomegranate orchard and my wife who loves pomegranate got to try 2 different types fresh off the tree!!
We then headed back to the lounge and ordered.
She brought us a charcuterie board of local cheeses and sausage with fresh fruit.
I had a glass of really good white wine and my wife had a fresh squeezed pomegranate juice.
We are still talking about what an amazing experience we had and this was one of the main highlights of our trip

他问我们是否有兴趣看橄榄收割！！
我们当然说是的！！我们挤进货车，前往果园。
我们看到了使用电动耙子的收割技术，甚至还尝试了一下！！
之后，我们去了一个小石榴园散步，我妻子很喜欢石榴，她尝了两种刚从树上摘下来的石榴！！
然后我们回到休息室点餐。
她给我们带来了一份当地奶酪、香肠和新鲜水果的熟食拼盘。
我喝了一杯非常好的白葡萄酒，我妻子喝了一杯鲜榨的石榴汁。
我们仍在谈论我们经历了多么美妙的体验，这是我们旅行的主要亮点之一
