点评：We visited Meghalaya in November 2024 for 9 days. We had almost finalised our itinerary when we stumbled upon Sachin's number. And what a blessing that turned out to be! Sachin was open to discussing and re-discussing the itinerary, where to stay, what to bring along... everything that a really concerned friend would do. We realised how hard he was working to increase tourism in the stunning but off-the-tourist-map places of Meghalaya. And the non-touristy places were exactly what we wanted to visit. And so through his guidance we got to see the longest living root bridge in Mawkyrnot and the bamboo bridge of Shiliang Jashar among many other places. In both these places we did not meet a single soul in the dense forests through which we walked. It was an amazing experience. Sachin also recommended Welbis, our driver and guide. He is very knowledgeable about the area, helpful and sincere, and makes sure you get to see whatever you have planned. "Nahi toh baad mein dimaag mein reh jayega" is what he says. So if you want to really experience the wonders of Meghalaya, Sachin and Welbis is the team you want on your side.
