Augustusplatz的点评
点评：We did a road trip around Germany and parked under Augustusplatz during our short visit to Leipzig. Augustplatz was lovely when we visited with a good market selling fresh produce, breads, cheese and everything inbetween. We got some very fresh and good strawberries when we arrived and some nice dessert bars before we left. The prices were very fair and it smelled great!
The square has a large and unique fountain called Mendebrunnen which has hippocampi, Poseidon and a large obelisk. There is a large egg like sculpture here called Demokratieglocke which symbolizes democracy and the west. To the north of the square is the opera house and a nice park area. Many attractions of Leipzig are nearby and we started a self guided walking tour from here.
