点评：A little Saturday-night escape to The Glee Club - my first time going completely sober and it was an interesting one.
We had great seats: middle-back, right in front of the bar, which I’d honestly recommend over the front rows unless you enjoy the risk of being heckled. There were lots of mixed groups in and quite a bit of crowd interaction, so it definitely had that lively, slightly chaotic comedy-club energy.
Service was slick, table service worked well and the food coming out looked decent. Loos were clean enough (always worth a mention!) and overall the venue felt well run. Long queues to get in though, so next time I’d time it a little better.
The comedy itself wasn’t quite as strong as I’d hoped for – maybe I caught an off-night – but the host, Leroy Brito, was brilliant and the final ‘headline’ act with the guitar absolutely lifted the room.
Would I go again? Yes, I think so. Maybe with one or two drinks next time, just to settle in and enjoy the rhythm of it all. Great night out and great value for money.
