点评:This is a place I had been trying to get to for many years but events and bad weather had always conspired against a visit from S. Yorks. As Jim Clark had been my boyhood sporting hero - rather than a footballer - I felt I had to make the trip before the long drive became too much. Despite a visiting Historic MG cars group, I was able to park close by and continued to be impressed.
Obviously the Museum has only a single theme: the life and achievements of Jim Clark but it is very well done. The layout is good, all exhibits are interesting, the background information is very good - as is the audio-visual presentation.
The entry fee is sensible and can be gift-aided to assist the Museum's finances.
With so many options in the nearby town centre, the absence of a cafe is not an issue.
As a volunteer at a transport museum in England, I think I am qualified to say that the Jim Clark Museum is excellent.
