点评:I cannot believe what I am reading on some of these low-rated reviews. €6.50 (the cost of two cans of Cisk) or €5 for seniors. OK it's not the Caves of Drach, but they get thousands of visitors per day, so can afford to keep their entry price relatively low. The lowest price ticket also gets you into the Neolithic remains down the road towards Birżebbuġa (we went but it's not as impressive as this place). This is a place for those interested in Palaeontology, but the cave is pretty cool. The first room in the museum was very informative, and I learned new things, such as how the cave was formed during the Pleistocene epoch and how animals such as rhinos and elephants came to be on Malta. The second room was filled with many fossil specimens. It did have that British Museum affect, whereby you are overwhelmed by how many examples of the same thing there are. The steps leading down to the cave were lined with neatly kept gardens that had many specimens of trees and bushes, all with their own information plaque. I can imagine in season, it has a wonderful display of flowers. There is also an education area and wildlife pond tucked away to the side of the building. There is a view to a villa on the other side of the valley, but it was hard for me to relate the image on the sign to what I was looking at. The cave itself is very interesting. It's dimly lit and quite atmospheric. You can walk in about 100 metres or so. There are plenty of spotlit signs to inform you of what you are looking at. There's even graffiti; initials done by one of the original Palaeontologists. I was happy with my visit. We walked it there from Birżebbuġa centre but there are some buses from Birżebbuġa that stop on the main road nearby.
