Grand Canyon Caverns Tours的点评
点评：Starting out the trip being pissed off didn’t help, which is partially the reason for 3-stars. The email and “get directions“ both show an address IN Peach Springs 12 miles from where you are supposed to go. Luckily we were early so had just enough time to go back to the Grand Canyon Cavern Inn & Gift shop. Signage in the parking lot is terrible and we saw nothing until we were heading down the road to the West of the Inn.
Once we got inside the restaurant - again no signs - the only lady we saw brought us to where we were supposed to be.
The guide was nice & friendly, but timing for those who choose the tour and lunch combo is not coordinated very well and neither is the seating at the very limited dining deck. It is not a restaurant underground - the food is brought down from ground level! No alterations to your meal - you get what they give you. The tables were not set or cleaned when we arrived and we had to ask for water THREE times before finally getting it. There are no restrooms underground!!
If these truly are new owners and they want this tour/food to continue, I would suggest more training for the guides AND the wait staff so tables can be cleaned and set before the next group arrives. Let guests know there is a time limit so they don’t sit and chat so long after eating you have to ask them to leave so you can prepare for the next group.
With some revamping this could be a great afternoon thing to see! For now, do the tour and get lunch somewhere else.
